CHURCH ON THE BUS
St Anne’s Church supports the Church Army in Chesterfield and Matlock in the work that they undertake with the homeless. During the winter months, there is always a shortage of items desperately needed to make life more liveable.
We are told that there is a desperate shortage of gloves, socks, ladies underwear, size 14 – 16, as well as sleeping bags and blankets. Could you please look and see if you have items that could be made use of? There is a red box at the back of church and these items can be left there. With grateful thanks.
Church on the Bus parks outside the Town Hall on Monday & Thursday evenings,
Tuesdays Matlock, Car Park next to Sainsbury’s, Wednesdays, Clay Cross, Country Life Centre 6.30-8.00pm

Some of the Church collections taken over the Christmas period were donated to the Chesterfield based “Church on the Bus” project. We are delighted to say that the following sums were handed over:
St Anne’s School Christmas Service
St Anne’s Carol Service
St Anne’s Crib Service
The project team responded immediately with an acknowledgment and very grateful thanks. “This is an excellent result, thank you”.
We are still collecting warm clothing and sleeping bags as well as coffee, tea, biscuits etc. Please contact us if you have anything to give.
